Assistant Director, Communications
Ethics and Compliance Officer Association, Waltham
Position Summary: The ECOA seeks a dynamic assistant director, communications, to support the director in the development of all aspects of external (nonmember) and internal (member) communications. Reporting to the director of communications, research, and government affairs, the primary responsibilities of the assistant director is creating and maintaining ECOAs website content and designing print and electronic communications. We seek a candidate who possesses a unique mix of technical, website management skills as well as the creative ability to design high-impact print and electronic marketing content and collateral.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the director, and in support of establishing and strengthening the ECOAs brand and image, assist in all aspects of ECOAs design, creation, and maintenance of marketing and communications content for the website and print collateral, including (but not limited to):
Brandoverall look and feel of printed materials and web content;
Websiteonline functionality and features of associations main site and the ECOA Foundation site, as well as related use of the associations backbone applications (e.g., iMIS e-Series);
Design and creation of event and marketing content (e.g., conference programs and membership development brochures) using InDesign, Adobe Web Premium, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, FireWorks, Dreamweaver, HTML, CMS, iMIS 15.1, and Constant Contact;
Content managementoversee, update, and maintain development of two websites on a daily basis; and
Work with outside vendors and printers.
Qualifications:
Strong candidates for this position will have:
3+ years of relevant experience in a nonprofit or for-profit business environment.
Sophisticated HTML and other web-based technology skills.
Advanced print and web-based design skills for application in a business market.
Excellent written communication skills, especially as they apply to communicating to a well-educated business market.
Excellent project management skills, with a particular attention to detail.
Ability to remain flexible and prioritize while juggling multiple projects in a tight, deadline-oriented environment.
Willingness to work as part of a small team (e.g., no task is too small for anyone to tackle).
The capacity to commit to and develop a passion for the ethical mission of the ECOA.
High personal and professional integrity.
Strong degree of creativity and initiative (i.e., a can-do attitude).
Customer-service orientation and highly professional demeanor with all ECOA stakeholders.
Bachelors degree required.
