Seeking an experienced Prepress Manager. Qualified candidates will exhibit superior leadership qualities and be responsible for supervising and scheduling prepress staff and equipment, identifying and implementing technology improvements and providing technical assistance to customers and staff. In addition manager will be expected to work on jobs when necessary to meet deadlines. This is a hands-on position.
Requirements: Candidates must have at least 12 years of prepress experience in a printing or prepress facility, five as a department manager. Must be a hard worker, have a positive attitude and be able to contribute to a team environment.
Must have a strong work ethic that focuses on professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must have experience in all aspects of Mac-based digital pre-press (including advanced file troubleshooting, preflight, color correction, color management, file manipulation, scanning, digital imaging, CTP, software RIPs, and file transfer) within an entirely digital workflow.
Mac OS technical support experience a plus.
Software: Proven experience with all major graphic arts software packages on the Macintosh platform (10.5+) including the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat; preflight, RIP and CTP software.
Education: Associates Degree, Trade or Technical School Diploma.
