Marketing and Business Development for Houston Interior Design Firm

Job Description

We are a cutting edge and award winning firm designing high-end Residential and Hospitality Interiors. In addition to our design firm we operate a boutique offering local, regional, and national lines of home furnishings, art and accessories. We are currently a team of 5 working together to create innovative and detailed interiors, and focusing on the growth of our business. We provide design services, as well as purchasing and installation of furnishings for clients in Houston and throughout the US.

We are seeking a committed, part-time to full-time, marketing professional that thrives in a fast paced, team-based work environment. We require creativity, enthusiasm and efficiency. We are a fun, exciting group that enjoys our field, our projects, and our clients. You are a marketing director that works well conceptually and has fabulous follow through.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has the following skill set:

• 2+years experience in marketing, public relations, business development, and the creation of marketing collateral.

• Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field

• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator and Power Point

• Background in interior design or architecture and knowledge of AutoCAD is helpful

• Professional, motivated, organized, takes initiative, attention to detail, follow through

• Functions well in a demanding and fast-paced firm

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with enforced deadlines

• Experience in national & local media, public relations, press releases, website content and blogging is required

• Experience in creating cutting edge graphics as well as copy for press and invitations required

• The ability to achieve goals with little supervision while providing accurate, timely, and meaningful progress updates to Principals

• Must excel in all areas of communication and interact with clients and the public through verbal, written and graphic presentations

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop the annual marketing plan and budget

• Leverage your established industry relationships

• Manage, track and report on marketing efforts

• Work with Principles to understand company mission, identify target client, and establish opportunities to reach out to target demographic

• Integrate a mix of appropriate media, such as brochure creation, email marketing, events, etc. to the overall strategic marketing vision

• Establish and manage marketing calendar.

• Keep our website current, establish SEO protocol, propose and maintain website updates

• Manage marketing database

• Manage company blog and update weekly for increased SEO
