DESIGN INTERNS:
You will learn how to design and create straw, felt, knit, and cut and sew hats. You will be part of an innovative design team and get some solid work experience.
Responsibilities:
designing and originating unique hat
communicating with major factories and pattern makers
creative research & brainstorming in design meetings
sourcing trims, fabrics, leathers, hardware
designing accessories on Illustrator or sketching by hand
Please also include:
your website link, portfolio and/or examples of previous design work
your start date and availability–minimum is 3-5 days per week, but we prefer 5 days
a description of any specific hat, belt, and accessory design experience
your level of experience/expertise with the following programs on a scale of 1-10: Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Excel
a list or description of any specific hand abilities
PRODUCTION INTERNS:
You will learn a great deal from sourcing, managing production, inventory management, and communication with vendor relationships/factories. Upon completion of this internship, you will be equipped to get an entry-level position in fashion production; as many of our previous production interns have gone to do so. Production is fun for the individual who thrives on being a part of a fast-paced environment and likes to be organized.
Responsibilities:
sourcing materials and trims
using Microsoft Excel for production spreadsheets and inventory
quality control inspections
communicating with factories
assisting Shipping Manager for timely allocations
