On behalf of our client, we are searching for a Graphic Designer to be responsible for overseeing the overall design and creative execution of marketing programs, ensuring they are consistent with brand and design standards. You will develop concepts and designs for all assigned marketing projects, and collaborate with the Director of Marketing and creative agencies to develop marketing materials that are successful and consistent with brand image.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with Director of Marketing to determine design direction for all creative, ensuring designs effectively communicate with the target audience while maintaining corporate identity and design standards.
Serve as the liaison between the company and its creative agencies to develop marketing materials, graphics, and collateral that are consistent with the brand.
Responsible for the layout, creation, design and development of certain marketing communications including advertisements, direct mail, online and multimedia projects, presentations, annual catalog, and other marketing collateral.
Design and send creative email campaigns to customers; monitor and communicate responses.
Work with photographer and creative agency on all photo shoots, including in-store and instudio.
Create pre-shoot layouts and guidelines, and is responsible for photographer direction.
Create and update all custom and new instruction sheets, product sheets, and technical guidelines.
Work closely with Sales and Product Design to create in-depth analyses of clients stores.
Oversee print production retouching and color correction. Approve all pre-press operations; maintain quality control.
Manage print vendor relationships. Coordinate all logistics related to the print production of direct mail campaigns, working directly with printers/mail houses. Acquire multiple quotes on large-scale production projects.
Advance the look and feel of the companys online presence to remain consistent with brand.
Maintain and update all website content, including product descriptions, images, news, events, pricing, product sheets and instruction sheets.
Manage the creation of all trade show graphics and displays to ensure brand consistency.
Utilize emerging media tools to increase brand awareness and customer collaboration.
Responsible for the development of all animations, videos, and web 2.0 elements.
Monitor inventory for all marketing material collateral and promotional items and makes new orders depending on the effectiveness/cost.
Handle all marketing-related requests, including collateral fulfillment, on a weekly basis.
Categorize and manage web-based and network-based library of marketing communications materials, including testimonials/case studies, photo library, brochures, instruction sheets, and product sheets.
Support marketing team by fulfilling administrative, research, telemarketing and other duties as assigned.
Provide appropriate information and assistance to other departments as needed, as they relate to creative and visual tactics.
Approx. 5% of time will be dedicated to travel for trade shows, events, and photography sessions.
Required Skills and Experience:
B.A./B.S. in visual/graphic design or related with a minimum of 2-5 years practical experience.
Exceptional skills in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat. (Portfolio required)
DreamWeaver and Flash is preferred.
Proven experience in photography on small and large-scale photo shoots. (Portfolio required)
Basic HTML and CSS experience required; familiarity with RSS and Javascript a plus.
Ability to design animations and graphics through the use of 3D applications preferred, not required.
Proven skills to manage external creative agencies and resources, and work in a collaborative cross-functional team.
Articulate with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with all levels in the organization.
Ability to think conceptually and provide unexpected solutions.
Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills are necessary.
Proficient on Mac and PC.
Ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted.
