Freelance Graphic Design Position
Small design studio looking for Junior (1-3 yrs experience) and Senior (4-7 yrs experience) level graphic designers for freelance only, 2- 4 days a week.
On site work required.
We are seeking graphic designers with a strong portfolio and background in print, advertising, and identity work and solid experience in designing for the web. Additionally, we are interested in candidates who enjoy collaborating on projects that involve unique user interface design and interactive design elements for larger web development projects.
Work includes: website and interface design, print production, logo & brand identity design, creative aspects of marketing collateral (ad development, mailers, postcards, e-newsletters, banner ads, award entry materials, etc.).
Portfolio should demonstrate ad work, print work, identity design; packaging and interactive design would be beneficial. The candidate should have a clean style with a clear understanding of a grid system.
Requirements:
Junior Level: ($25-30/hr)
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- 1-3 years professional design experience.
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage large workflow within time constraints.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Print and press experience regarding offset and digital production coordination and color matching
- Supervision of quality control and delivery of print materials as per design specifications.
- Basic web technology skills a plus. (CSS, Dreamweaver, JQuery, Ajax)
- Clean aesthetic
Senior Level: ($30 + doe)
- Junior level requirements plus:
- 4-7 yrs professional experience within a creative agency, studio or design firm.
- Monitor work flow of projects and manage project budgets.
- Client contact and correspondence
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Leadership abilities, highly communicative and design-oriented.
- Strong understanding of web design.
