Associate Creative Director (Santa Monica, CA)

Beauty company seeks Associate/Junior Creative Director.

A creative director in training, this role requires a seasoned and experienced advertising and marketing creative with strong design, management and client skills plus ambitions to go all the way.

Must be very hands-on while also helping to manage designers, able to produce world class design and creative that delivers on brief and can compete for audiences’ attention against rival marketing, advertising and media.

Responsibilites include, but are not limited to:

Execute and assist in overseeing advertising, marketing and general creative.

Aid in recruiting, managing and mentoring a team of designers and creatives giving clear direction and feedback.

Know, and stay up to date with marketing and advertising in all mediums.

Work to budgets and within tight deadlines.

Reports to Creative Director.

Serves as creative lead and manages creative teams on major accounts.

Directs all phases of creative work for major accounts from concept through production.

Responsible for creating brand-on, strategy-on compelling creative online advertising campaigns for assigned clients.

Helps Creative Director manage the creative staff, as well as helping to review staff.

Participates in many new business development efforts, leading creative teams.

Maintains active list of vendor resources i.e., writers, designers, photographers, and Flash developers.

Any photo shoot experience production would be a plus.
